The Donkey See’s the Death Angel

במדבר  Ba’Ma-DaBaR Numbers 22

20And Alaheym came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.

21And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.

The Angel and Balaam’s Donkey

22And Alaheym’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of Yahuah stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. 23And the ass saw the angel of Yahuah standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. 24But the angel of Yahuah stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. 25And when the ass saw the angel of Yahuah, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall: and he smote her again. 26And the angel of Yahuah went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. 27And when the ass saw the angel of Yahuah, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. 28And Yahuah opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? 29And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. 30And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.

31Then Yahuah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of Yahuah standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. 32And the angel of Yahuah said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:

33And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. 34And Balaam said unto the angel of Yahuah, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again. 35And the angel of Yahuah said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

Moses’s Wife See’s the Death Angel and Reacts Quickly

שמות  ShuMuTh Exodus 4:

24And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that Yahuah met him, and sought to kill him. 25Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. 26So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

Zipporah did not see Yahuah, if she did she would have died instantly, she however saw, the death angel which works for him.

David see’s the Death Angel

דברי הימים א  DaBaRey’aHeyM-eyM A 1 Chronicles 21:

1And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. 2And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it. 3And Joab answered, Yahuah make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? why then doth my Lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel? 4Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem. 5And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword. 6But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.

7And Alaheym was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel. 8And David said unto Alaheym, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

9And Yahuah spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying, 10Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith Yahuah, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. 11So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith Yahuah, Choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. 12

  1. Either three years’ famine;
  2. or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee;
  3. or else three days the sword of Yahuah, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of Yahuah destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel.

Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me. 13And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of Yahuah; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.

David’s Repentance Spares Jerusalem

14So Yahuah sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men. 15And Alaheym sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, Yahuah beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of Yahuah stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

16And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of Yahuah stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces. 17And David said unto Alaheym, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O YAHUAH my Alaheym, be on me, and on my father’s house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.

18Then the angel of Yahuah commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto Yahuah in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 19And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of Yahuah. 20And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat. 21And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground. 22Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto Yahuah: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people. 23And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all. 24And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for Yahuah, nor offer burnt offerings without cost. 25So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight. 26And David built there an altar unto Yahuah, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon Yahuah; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. 27And Yahuah commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.

28At that time when David saw that Yahuah had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there. 29For the tabernacle of Yahuah, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon. 30But David could not go before it to inquire of Alaheym: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of Yahuah.

Yahuah sends the Death Angels through Egypt

שמות  ShuMuTh Exodus 12:

12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the Alaheyms of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yahuah. 13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

29And it came to pass, that at midnight Yahuah smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 30And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Abraham Negotiates with Yahuah, he had 3 Death Angels with him scheduled to visit Sodom

These men that passed Abraham came with Yahuah and stood by him if you read in previous verses.  Yahuah visited Abraham and prophesied that Sarah will have a child at the ripe age of 100. Then they eat and leave for Sodom. This is what Abraham inquired of their journey.

בראשית  Ba’RaASheyTh Genesis 18:

16And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. 17And Yahuah said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of Yahuah, to do justice and judgment; that Yahuah may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. 20And Yahuah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Yahuah. 23And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? 26And Yahuah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. 27And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto Yahuah, which am but dust and ashes: 28Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. 29And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake. 30And he said unto him, Oh let not Yahuah be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. 31And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto Yahuah: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.

32And he said, Oh let not Yahuah be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake. 33And Yahuah went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Lot Welcomes 2 Death Angels into his house

בראשית  Ba’RaASheyTh Genesis 19:

1And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

Aaron Scheduled to Die

במדבר  Ba’Ma-DaBaR Numbers 20:

23And Yahuah spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, 24Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. 25Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor: 26And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there. 27And Moses did as Yahuah commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.

28And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. 29And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

Yahuah sends Snakes to Sting the People, many died

במדבר  Ba’Ma-DaBaR Numbers 21:

4And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 5And the people spake against Alaheym, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

6And Yahuah sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against Yahuah, and against thee; pray unto Yahuah, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

8And Yahuah said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

King Bashan Destined to Fall in Battle

במדבר  Ba’Ma-DaBaR Numbers 21:

33And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei. 34And Yahuah said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 35So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.

I could sit here and dig up many verses, but long story short. When you die, it is no surprise to Yahuah. The Angel of death will be there.

Satan, the Death Angel, Kills Job’s Family

איוב  A’YuB Job 1:

6Now there was a day when the sons of Alaheym came to present themselves before Yahuah, and Satan came also among them. 7And Yahuah said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered Yahuah, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And Yahuah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth Alaheym, and escheweth evil?

9Then Satan answered Yahuah, and said, Doth Job fear Alaheym for nought? 10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. 11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. 12And Yahuah said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of Yahuah.

Job Loses his Children and Property

13And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: 14And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

15And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

16While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of Alaheym is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 17While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. 18While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: 19And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

20Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: Yahuah gave, and Yahuah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Yahuah.

22In all this Job sinned not, nor charged Alaheym foolishly.

איוב  A’YuB Job 2:10

1On another day the sons of Alaheym came to present themselves before Yahuah, and Satan also came with them to present himself before Him. 2“Where have you come from?” said Yahuah to Satan. “From roaming through the earth,” he replied, “and walking back and forth in it.”

3Then Yahuah said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears Alaheym and shuns evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.”

4“Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give up all he owns in exchange for his life. 5But stretch out Your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse You to Your face.”

6“Very well,” said Yahuah to Satan. “He is in your hands, but you must spare his life.”

7So Satan went out from the presence of Yahuah and infected Job with terrible boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. 8And Job took a piece of broken pottery to scrape himself as he sat among the ashes.

9Then Job’s wife said to him, “Do you still retain your integrity? Curse Alaheym and die!”

10“You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept from Alaheym only good and not adversity?”

Yahuah is Sends Evil & Controls the Death Angels

Amos 3:6 עמוס  IMuS

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and Yahuah hath not done it?

קהלת  QuaHLaTh Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

Consider the work of Alaheym: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: Alaheym also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

ירמיה  YeRaMe’YaH Jeremiah 13:16

16Give glory to Yahuah your Alaheym, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

עמוס  IMuS Amos 5:18

18Woe unto you that desire the day of Yahuah! to what end is it for you? the day of Yahuah is darkness, and not light.
