Introduction of ShaBaTh Days & Holy Convocations

Many people are familiar with the weekly ShaBaTh day, but quite a few forget that there are many ShaBaTh days written in the Torah law, such as Land ShaBaThs, Feast day ShaBaThs, Day of Atonement & the Year of Jubile.  We are required to keep all of יהוה (Yahuah)’s ShaBaTh Days.

 KEEP יהוה (יהוה (Yahuah)’s) ShaBaThS & HOLY CONVOCATIONS

 Ye shall keep my ShaBaThs, and reverence my sanctuary: I am יהוה (Yahuah). -Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 19:30 & Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 26:2

7th DAY ShaBaTh – (Every 7 Days Since Creation)

REMEMBER THE 7th DAY ShaBaTh, as it is written…

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 20:8-11

8 Remember the ShaBaTh day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the ShaBaTh of יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days יהוה (Yahuah) made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore יהוה (Yahuah) blessed the ShaBaTh day, and hallowed it.

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 23:

[12] Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

WHAT IS WORK? WHAT ARE WE RESTING FROM DOING?

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 34:21

Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest:in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

Translated Word = Manakahthey Word = Meaning

rest = ShaBaTh = to cease, desist, rest

earning time = KahReySh  {kah-reysh’} = ploughing time

THE 7TH DAY ShaBaTh IS A FEAST DAY

DON’T FAST ON THE SHABATH!

 Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 23:1-3

 1 And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying,

 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of יהוה (Yahuah), which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the ShaBaTh of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the ShaBaTh of יהוה (Yahuah) in all your dwellings.

 Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 31:12-18

12 And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying,

13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my ShaBaThs ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am יהוה (Yahuah) that doth sanctify you. 14 Ye shall keep the ShaBaTh therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the ShaBaTh of rest, holy to יהוה (Yahuah): whosoever doeth any work in the ShaBaTh day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the ShaBaTh, to observe the ShaBaTh throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days יהוה (Yahuah) made heaven and earth, & on the seventh day he rested, & was refreshed. 18 And he gave unto Moses משה (MaShaH), when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of Alaheym.

7th Day ShaBaTh is a Set-apart Day;

No work shall be done

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 35:2-3

[2] Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a ShaBaTh of rest to יהוה (Yahuah): whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

[3] Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the ShaBaTh day.

Deuteronomy דברים (DaBaR’eyM) 5:12-15

Prepare ahead of time for the ShaBaTh

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 16:1

And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second KahDaSh after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron in the wilderness:

3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to Alaheym we had died by the hand of יהוה (Yahuah) in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

4 Then said יהוה (Yahuah) unto Moses משה (MaShaH), Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

6 And Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that יהוה (Yahuah) hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of יהוה (Yahuah); for that he heareth your murmurings against יהוה (Yahuah): and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

8 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said, This shall be, when יהוה (Yahuah) shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that יהוה (Yahuah) heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against יהוה (Yahuah).

9 And Moses משה (MaShaH) spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before יהוה (Yahuah): for he hath heard your murmurings. 10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of יהוה (Yahuah) appeared in the cloud. 11 And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying, 12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.

13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. 14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. 15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they knew not what it was. And Moses משה (MaShaH) said unto them, This is the bread which יהוה (Yahuah) hath given you to eat.

16 This is the thing which יהוה (Yahuah) hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. 17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. 18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.19 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. 20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses משה (MaShaH); but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses משה (MaShaH) was wroth with them.

21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

6th Day 2x’s as Much was Gathered

22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses משה (MaShaH). 23 And he said unto them, This is that which יהוה (Yahuah) hath said, To morrow is the rest of the set-apart ShaBaTh unto יהוה (Yahuah): bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses משה (MaShaH) bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. 25 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said, Eat that to day; for to day is a ShaBaTh unto יהוה (Yahuah): to day ye shall not find it in the field.

26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the ShaBaTh, in it there shall be none.27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. 28 And יהוה (Yahuah) said unto Moses משה (MaShaH), How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? 29 See, for that יהוה (Yahuah) hath given you the ShaBaTh, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. 32 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said, This is the thing which יהוה (Yahuah) commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

33 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before יהוה (Yahuah), to be kept for your generations. 34 As יהוה (Yahuah) commanded Moses משה (MaShaH), so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. 35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. 36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

Passover

Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 23:4

These are the feasts of יהוה (Yahuah), even set-apart convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first KahDaSh at even is יהוה (Yahuah)’s passover.

The First Passover

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO KEEP THE PASSOVER

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 12:1

And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

2 This KahDaSh shall be unto you the beginning of KahDaShs: it shall be the first KahDaSh of the year to you.

3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this KahDaSh they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same KahDaSh: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is יהוה (Yahuah)’s passover.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the Alaheym of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am יהוה (Yahuah).

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to יהוה (Yahuah) throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

THE FIRST PASSOVER BEGINS

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 12:21

Then Moses משה (MaShaH) called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

23 For יהוה (Yahuah) will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, יהוה (Yahuah) will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which יהוה (Yahuah) will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

WHAT DO YOU SAY WHEN YOUR CHILDREN ASK YOU WHY DO WE OBSERVE THE PASSOVER?

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 12:26

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

27 That ye shall say,

“It is the sacrifice of יהוה (Yahuah)’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as יהוה (Yahuah) had commanded Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron, so did they.

29 And it came to pass, that at midnight יהוה (Yahuah) smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharoah that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

31 And he called for Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve יהוה (Yahuah), as ye have said.

32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses משה (MaShaH); and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

36 And יהוה (Yahuah) gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of יהוה (Yahuah) went out from the land of Egypt.

42 It is a night to be much observed unto יהוה (Yahuah) for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of יהוה (Yahuah) to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

43 And יהוה (Yahuah) said unto Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

44 But every man’s servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.

48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to יהוה (Yahuah), let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as יהוה (Yahuah) commanded Moses משה (MaShaH) and Aaron, so did they.

51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that יהוה (Yahuah) did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

WHY DID יהוה (Yahuah) REQUIRE TO SACRIFICE THE FIRST BORN LAMB FOR PASSOVER?

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 13:11

And it shall be when יהוה (Yahuah) shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee, 12 That thou shalt set apart unto יהוה (Yahuah) all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be יהוה (Yahuah)’s.

13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand יהוה (Yahuah) brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that יהוה (Yahuah) slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to יהוה (Yahuah) all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

16 And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand יהוה (Yahuah) brought us forth out of Egypt.

Feast of Unleaven Bread

Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 23:5

In the fourteenth day of the first KahDaSh at even is יהוה (Yahuah)’s passover.

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same KahDaSh is the feast of unleavened bread unto יהוה (Yahuah): seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have a set-apart convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto יהוה (Yahuah) seven days: in the seventh day is a set-apart convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

THE FIRST OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVED BREAD

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 12:15

Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. 16 And in the first day there shall be a set-apart convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a set-apart convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. 17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.  18 In the first KahDaSh, on the fourteenth day of the KahDaSh at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the KahDaSh at even.19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

WHY DO WE OBSERVE THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD EVERY YEAR?

Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 13:1

And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying,

2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

3 And Moses משה (MaShaH) said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand יהוה (Yahuah) brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

4 This day came ye out in the KahDaSh of the aviv.

5 And it shall be when יהוה (Yahuah) shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this KahDaSh.

6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to יהוה (Yahuah).

7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which יהוה (Yahuah) did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt. 9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that יהוה (Yahuah)’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath יהוה (Yahuah) brought thee out of Egypt.

10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Feast of Tabernacle

Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 23:33

And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying,

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh KahDaSh shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto יהוה (Yahuah).

35 On the first day shall be a set-apart convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto יהוה (Yahuah): on the eighth day shall be a set-apart convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto יהוה (Yahuah): it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

37 These are the feasts of יהוה (Yahuah), which ye shall proclaim to be set-apart convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto יהוה (Yahuah), a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

38 Beside the ShaBaThs of יהוה (Yahuah), and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto יהוה (Yahuah).

39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh KahDaSh, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto יהוה (Yahuah) seven days: on the first day shall be a ShaBaTh, and on the eighth day shall be a ShaBaTh.

40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym seven days. 41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto יהוה (Yahuah) seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh KahDaSh.

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym. 44 And Moses משה (MaShaH) declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of יהוה (Yahuah).

Feast of First Fruits

Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 23:

9 And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses משה (MaShaH), saying,

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before יהוה (Yahuah), to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the ShaBaTh the priest shall wave it. 12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto יהוה (Yahuah). 13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto יהוה (Yahuah) for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your Alaheym: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the ShaBaTh, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven ShaBaThs shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh ShaBaTh shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto יהוה (Yahuah).

17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto יהוה (Yahuah).

18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto יהוה (Yahuah), with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto יהוה (Yahuah).

19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before יהוה (Yahuah), with the two lambs: they shall be set-apart to יהוה (Yahuah) for the priest.

21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be a set-apart convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.

Leviticus ויקרא (u’Ye-QuRA) 25:8-12

29 And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.

31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.

32 Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

51 If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

Isaiah ישעה (YeShI’aH) 58

58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their Alaheym: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to Alaheym.

58:3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

58:4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to יהוה (Yahuah)?

58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of יהוה (Yahuah) shall be thy rereward.

58:9 Then shalt thou call, and יהוה (Yahuah) shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

58:11 And יהוה (Yahuah) shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the ShaBaTh, from doing thy pleasure on my set-apart day; and call the ShaBaTh a delight, the set-apart of יהוה (Yahuah), honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in יהוה (Yahuah); and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of יהוה (Yahuah) hath spoken it.
