Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 36:8
Thus dwelt Esau עשו (IShu) in mount Seir: Esau עשו (IShu) is Edom אדום (ADuM).
Malachi מלאכי (MaLa’AKey) 1:
2I have loved you, saith Yahuah. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau עשו (IShu) Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)’s brother? saith Yahuah: yet I loved Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB), 3And I hated Esau עשו (IShu), and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. 4Whereas Edom אדום (ADuM) saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith Yahuah of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom Yahuah hath indignation for ever. 5And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, Yahuah will be magnified from the border of Israel.
Prophesy BEFORE Esau עשו (IShu) WAS BORN~
Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 25:20- JPS
And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) was fory years old when he took Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH), the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean, of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife. 21And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) entreated Yahuah for his wife, because she was barren; and Yahuah let Himself be entreated of him, and Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) his wife conceived. 22And the children struggled together within her; and she said: ‘If it be so, wherefore do I live?’ And she went to inquire of Yahuah. 23And Yahuah said unto her:
Two nations are in thy womb,
And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels; And the one people shall be stronger than the other people;
And the elder shall serve the younger.
24And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25And the first came forth ruddy, all over like a hairy mantle; and they called his name Esau עשו (IShu). 26And after that came forth his brother, and his hand had hold on Esau עשו (IShu)’s heel; and his name was called a Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB). And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) was threescore years old when she bore them. 27And the boys grew; and Esau עשו (IShu) was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) was a quiet man, dwelling in tents. 28Now Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) loved Esau עשו (IShu), because he did eat of his venison; and Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) loved Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB). 29And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) sod pottage; and Esau עשו (IShu) came in from the field, and he was faint. 30And Esau עשו (IShu) said to Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB): ‘Let me swallow, I pray thee, some of this red, red pottage; for I am faint.’ Therefore was his name called bEdom אדום (ADuM). 31And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said: ‘Sell me first thy birth right.’ 32And Esau עשו (IShu) said: ‘Behold, I am at the point to die; and what profit shall the birthright do to me?’ 33And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said: ‘Swear to me first’; and he swore unto him; and he sold his birthright unto Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB). 34And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) gave Esau עשו (IShu) bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way. So Esau עשו (IShu) despised his birthright.
Esau עשו (IShu)’s Blessing as Prophesied for Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)
Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 27:
1And it came to pass, that when Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau עשו (IShu) his elder son, and said unto him: ‘My son’; and he said unto him: ‘Here am I.’ 2And he said: ‘Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death. 3Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me venison; 4and make me savoury food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.’ 5And Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) heard when Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) spoke to Esau עשו (IShu) his son. And Esau עשו (IShu) went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it. 6And Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) spoke unto Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) her son, saying: ‘Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau עשו (IShu) thy brother, saying: 7Bring me venison, and make me savoury food, that I may eat, and bless thee before Yahuah before my death. 8Now therefore, my son, hearken to my voice according to that which I command thee. 9Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury food for thy father, such as he loveth; 10and thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, so that he may bless thee before his death.’ 11And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said to Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) his mother: ‘Behold, Esau עשו (IShu) my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man. 12My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a mocker; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.’ 13And his mother said unto him: ‘Upon me be thy curse, my son; only hearken to my voice, and go fetch me them.’ 14And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother; and his mother made savoury food, such as his father loved. 15And Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH) took the choicest garments of Esau עשו (IShu) her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) her younger son. 16And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck. 17And she gave the savoury food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB). 18And he came unto his father, and said: ‘My father’; and he said: ‘Here am I; who art thou, my son?’ 19And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said unto his father: ‘I am Esau עשו (IShu) thy first-born; I have done according as thou badest me. Arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.’ 20And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) said unto his son: ‘How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son?’ And he said: ‘Because Yahuah thy Alaheym sent me good speed.’ 21And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) said unto Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB): ‘Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau עשו (IShu) or not.’ 22And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) went near unto Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) his father; and he felt him, and said: ‘The voice is the voice of Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB), but the hands are the hands of Esau עשו (IShu).’ 23And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau עשו (IShu)’s hands; so he blessed him. 24And he said: ‘Art thou my very son Esau עשו (IShu)?’ And he said: ‘I am.’ 25And he said: ‘Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee.’ And he brought it near to him, and he did eat; and he brought him wine, and he drank. 26And his father Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) said unto him: ‘Come near now, and kiss me, my son.’ 27And he came near, and kissed him. And he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said:
See, the smell of my son
Is as the smell of a field which Yahuah hath blessed.
28So Alaheym give thee of the dew of heaven,
And of the fat places of the earth,
And plenty of corn and wine.
29Let peoples serve thee,
And nations bow down to thee.
Be lord over thy brethren,
And let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee.
Cursed be every one that curseth thee,
And blessed be every one that blesseth thee.
30And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) had made an end of blessing Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB), and Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) his father, that Esau עשו (IShu) his brother came in from his hunting. 31And he also made savoury food, and brought it unto his father; and he said unto his father: ‘Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.’ 32And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) his father said unto him: ‘Who art thou?’ And he said: ‘I am thy son, thy first-born, Esau עשו (IShu).’ 33And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) trembled very exceedingly, and said: ‘Who then is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.’ 34When Esau עשו (IShu) heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceeding great and bitter cry, and said unto his father: ‘Bless me, even me also, O my father.’ 35And he said: ‘Thy brother came with guile, and hath taken away thy blessing.’ 36And he said: ‘Is not he rightly named Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing.’ And he said: ‘Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?’ 37And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) answered and said unto Esau עשו (IShu): ‘Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him; and what then shall I do for thee, my son?’ 38And Esau עשו (IShu) said unto his father: ‘Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father.’ And Esau עשו (IShu) lifted up his voice, and wept. 39And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) his father answered and said unto him:
Behold, of the fat places of the earth shall be thy dwelling,
And of the dew of heaven from above;
POWER OF WEAPONS IS HOW HE SURVIVES
40And by thy sword shalt thou live,
And thou shalt serve thy brother;
And it shall come to pass when thou shalt break loose,
That thou shalt shake his yoke from off thy neck.
Esau עשו (IShu) HATES Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB); its in their DNA
41And Esau עשו (IShu) hated Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him. And Esau עשו (IShu) said in his heart: ‘Let the days of mourning for my father be at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB).’
42And the words of Esau עשו (IShu) her elder son were told to Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH); and she sent and called Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) her younger son, and said unto him: ‘Behold, thy brother Esau עשו (IShu), as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee. 43Now therefore, my son, hearken to my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; 44and tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away; 45until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him; then I will send, and fetch thee from thence; why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?’

34And when Esau עשו (IShu) was forty years old, he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite. 35And they were a bitterness of spirit unto Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) and to Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH).
Esau עשו (IShu) tries to Please his parents by Taken another wife
Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 27:
1And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) called Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB), and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him: ‘Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan כנענ (KaNaIN). 2Arise, go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother. 3And Alaheym Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a congregation of peoples; 4and give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land of thy sojournings, which Alaheym gave unto Abraham.’ 5And Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) sent away Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB); and he went to Paddan-aram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah רבקה (RaBaQaH), Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)’s and Esau עשו (IShu)’s mother. 6Now Esau עשו (IShu) saw that Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) had blessed Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) and sent him away to Paddan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying: ‘Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan כנענ (KaNaIN)’; 7and that Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) hearkened to his father and his mother, and was gone to Paddan-aram; 8and Esau עשו (IShu) saw that the daughters of Canaan כנענ (KaNaIN) pleased not Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ) his father; 9so Esau עשו (IShu) went unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives that he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebaioth, to be his wife.

Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 32:
Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)’s Fear of Esau עשו (IShu)
1And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) went on his way, and the angels of Alaheym met him. 2And when Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) saw them, he said, This is Alaheym’s host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
THE LAND OF SEIR IS Esau עשו (IShu)’S
3And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) sent messengers before him to Esau עשו (IShu) his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom אדום (ADuM).
4And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau עשו (IShu); Thy servant Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now: 5And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.
6And the messengers returned to Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB), saying, We came to thy brother Esau עשו (IShu), and also he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him. 7Then Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands; 8And said, If Esau עשו (IShu) come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
9And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said, O Alaheym of my father Abraham, and Alaheym of my father Isaac יצחק (YeTsaKahQ), Yahuah which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: 10I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands. 11Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau עשו (IShu): for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children. 12And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
13And he lodged there that same night; and took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau עשו (IShu) his brother; 14Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams, 15Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals. 16And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; and said unto his servants, Pass over before me, and put a space betwixt drove and drove. 17And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau עשו (IShu) my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? and whither goest thou? and whose are these before thee? 18Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB)’s; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau עשו (IShu): and, behold, also he is behind us. 19And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau עשו (IShu), when ye find him. 20And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me. 21So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.
Genesis בראשית (Ba’RaASheyTh) 33:
Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) Meets Esau עשו (IShu)
1And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau עשו (IShu) came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah לאה (LA’aH), and unto Rachel רחל (RaKahL), and unto the two handmaids. 2And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah לאה (LA’aH) and her children after, and Rachel רחל (RaKahL) and Joseph יוסף (YuSaP) hindermost. 3And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4And Esau עשו (IShu) ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept. 5And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which Alaheym hath graciously given thy servant. 6Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves. 7And Leah לאה (LA’aH) also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph יוסף (YuSaP) near and Rachel רחל (RaKahL), and they bowed themselves. 8And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord. 9And Esau עשו (IShu) said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself. 10And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of Alaheym, and thou wast pleased with me. 11Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because Alaheym hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
12And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee. 13And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die. 14Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
15And Esau עשו (IShu) said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord. 16So Esau עשו (IShu) returned that day on his way unto Seir. 17And Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

14And Yahuah stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edom אדום (ADuM)ite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom אדום (ADuM). 15For it came to pass, when David דוד (Dud) was in Edom אדום (ADuM), and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom אדום (ADuM); 16(For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom אדום (ADuM):) 17That Hadad fled, he and certain Edom אדום (ADuM)ites of his father’s servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child. 18And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land. 19And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen. 20And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh’s house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh’s household among the sons of Pharaoh. 21And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David דוד (Dud) slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country. 22Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
Edom אדום (ADuM) Revolts from the Israelites until this Day, according to Prophesy!
2 Kings מלכים (MaLaK-eyM) 8:
20In his days Edom אדום (ADuM) revolted from under the hand of Judah יהודה (Yahudah), and made a king over themselves. 21So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edom אדום (ADuM)ites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents. 22Yet Edom אדום (ADuM) revolted from under the hand of Judah יהודה (Yahudah) unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time. 23And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the Kings מלכים (MaLaK-eyM) of Judah יהודה (Yahudah)?
King of Judah יהודה (Yahudah) Slays 10,000 Edom אדום (ADuM)ites
It can be understandable why the Edom אדום (ADuM)ities hated the Israelites. It wasn’t because of the color of their skin.
2 Kings מלכים (MaLaK-eyM) 14:7
7He slew of Edom אדום (ADuM) in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.
The Edom אדום (ADuM)ities Conspire with the Other Nations to Destory the Israelites, thus we are in this condition
Psalms תהילים (ThaHeyL-eyM) 83:
For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6The tabernacles of Edom אדום (ADuM), and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek (also Edom אדום (ADuM)ites); the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
11Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of Alaheym in possession.
Edom אדום (ADuM)ities took their Revenge to Extremes
Psalms תהילים (ThaHeyL-eyM) 137:
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
3For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4How shall we sing Yahuah’S song in a strange land?
5If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
6If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
7Remember, O Yahuah, the children of Edom אדום (ADuM) in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
8O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
9Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Lamentations איכה (A’YeKaH) 4:
8They hunt our steps, that we cannot go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.
ק
19Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

20The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Yahuah, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

21Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom אדום (ADuM), that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
ת
22The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom אדום (ADuM); he will discover thy sins.
REVENGE IS COMING TO Edom אדום (ADuM), BY THE HAND OF THE ISRAELITES
Ezekiel יחזקאל (YeKahZaQu’AL) 25:
12Thus saith Yahuah Alaheym; Because that Edom אדום (ADuM) hath dealt against the house of Judah יהודה (Yahudah) by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; 13Therefore thus saith Yahuah Alaheym; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom אדום (ADuM), and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. 14And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom אדום (ADuM) by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom אדום (ADuM) according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith Yahuah Alaheym.
Obadiah עבדיה (IBaDe’Yah)
1The vision of Obadiah עבדיה (IBaDe’Yah). Thus saith Yahuah Alaheym concerning Edom אדום (ADuM); We have heard a rumour from Yahuah, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
2Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
3The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
4Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith Yahuah.
5If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?
6How are the things of Esau עשו (IShu) searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!
7All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
8Shall I not in that day, saith Yahuah, even destroy the wise men out of Edom אדום (ADuM), and understanding out of the mount of Esau עשו (IShu)?
9And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau עשו (IShu) may be cut off by slaughter.
10For thy violence against thy brother Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
11In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.
12But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah יהודה (Yahudah) in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.
13Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;
14Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.
The Deliverance of Israel
15For the day of Yahuah is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
16For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
17But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) shall possess their possessions.
18And the house of Jacob יעקב (YeIQuB) shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph יוסף (YuSaP) a flame, and the house of Esau עשו (IShu) for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau עשו (IShu); for Yahuah hath spoken it.
19And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau עשו (IShu); and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaan כנענ (KaNaIN)ites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
21And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau עשו (IShu); and the kingdom shall be Yahuah’S.
Jeremiah ירמיה (YeRaMe’YaH) 49:
The Judgment on Edom אדום (ADuM)
7Concerning Edom אדום (ADuM), thus saith Yahuah of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?
8Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau עשו (IShu) upon him, the time that I will visit him.
9If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.
10But I have made Esau עשו (IShu) bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.
11Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
12For thus saith Yahuah; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it. 13For I have sworn by myself, saith Yahuah, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.
14I have heard a rumour from Yahuah, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Yahuah.
17Also Edom אדום (ADuM) shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof. 18As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith Yahuah, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it. 19Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
20Therefore hear the counsel of Yahuah, that he hath taken against Edom אדום (ADuM); and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them. 21The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea. 22Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom אדום (ADuM) be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
Amos עמוס (IMuS) 1:
11Thus saith Yahuah; For three transgressions of Edom אדום (ADuM), and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13Thus saith Yahuah; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith Yahuah.
Amos עמוס (IMuS) 9:
11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David דוד (Dud) that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12That they may possess the remnant of Edom אדום (ADuM), and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith Yahuah that doeth this.
Ezekiel יחזקאל (YeKahZaQu’AL) 35:
1Moreover the word of Yahuah came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3And say unto it, Thus saith Yahuah Alaheym; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
4I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am Yahuah.
5Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: 6Therefore, as I live, saith Yahuah Alaheym, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. 7Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 8And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. 9I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am Yahuah.
10Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas Yahuah was there: 11Therefore, as I live, saith Yahuah Alaheym, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. 12And thou shalt know that I am Yahuah, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. 13Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. 14Thus saith Yahuah Alaheym; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. 15As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am Yahuah.
Joel יואל (Yu’AL) 3:
19Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom אדום (ADuM) shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah יהודה (Yahudah), because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20But Judah יהודה (Yahudah) shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
