CURSED TO TAKEN MONEY TO KILL SOMEONE INNOCENT

Let’s get it straight. It is not a sin to kill, its a  sin to murder. There are righteous killings in the bible, such as when won commits a sin worthy of death or revenge killing.’

Deuteronomy דברים  (DaBaR’eyM) 27:25

Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25ארור לקח שחד להכות נפש דם נקי ואמר כל העם אמן׃

Someone who strikes someone and causes him to die

Death, but not Murder

Accidental Death or UNINTENTIONAL KILLER

And if a man lie not in wait, but יהוה (Yahuah) deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

[14] But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

DEATH

IF A MAN (or Animal) KILLS A MAN, יהוה (Yahuah) REQUIRES HIM TO PAY WITH HIS LIFE,

as it is written,

“And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Alaheym made he man.” –

Who Can Accuse a Murder?

BY THE MOUTH OF  TWO WITNESSES SHALL THE MURDER BE PUT TO DEATH

Numbers במדבר  (Ba’Ma-DaBaR) 35:[30]

Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

REVENGER OF BLOOD SHALL SLAY THE MURDER-

21או באיבה הכהו בידו וימת מות יומת המכה רצח הוא גאל הדם ימית את הרצח בפגעו בו׃

Where can the Accidental Killer Flee to for Safety from the Revenger of Blood?

 THREE CITIES OF REFUGES FOR THOSE WHO IGNORANTLY KILLS HIS NEIGHBOUR

Deuteronomy דברים  (DaBaR’eyM) 19:1

When יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym hath cut off the nations, whose land יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;2 Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to possess it.  3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live:

Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live: 6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past. 7 Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.8 And if יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers; 9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three: 10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

SIX CITIES OF REFUGE FOR UNINTENTIONAL KILLING

9וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר׃

10דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי אתם עברים את הירדן ארצה כנען׃

11והקריתם לכם ערים ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם ונס שמה רצח מכה נפש בשגגה׃

12והיו לכם הערים למקלט מגאל ולא ימות הרצח עד עמדו לפני העדה למשפט׃

13והערים אשר תתנו שש ערי מקלט תהיינה לכם׃

14את שלש הערים תתנו מעבר לירדן ואת שלש הערים תתנו בארץ כנען ערי מקלט תהיינה׃

15לבני ישראל ולגר ולתושב בתוכם תהיינה שש הערים האלה למקלט לנוס שמה כל מכה נפש בשגגה׃

NO SAFE PLACE FOR A CONVICTED MURDER

DELIVER THE MURDER WHO IS GUILTY TO THE AVENGER OF BLOOD FROM THE CITIES OF REFUGE

Deuteronomy דברים  (DaBaR’eyM) 19:11

But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities: 12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

11וכי יהיה איש שנא לרעהו וארב לו וקם עליו והכהו נפש ומת ונס אל אחת הערים האל׃

12ושלחו זקני עירו ולקחו אתו משם ונתנו אתו ביד גאל הדם ומת׃

13לא תחוס עינך עליו ובערת דם הנקי מישראל וטוב לך׃

• REVENGER OF BLOOD IS FREE FROM GUILT OF MURDER IF HE KILLS THE KILLER, ACCIDENTAL DEATH or INTENTIONAL
• THE REVENGER OF BLOOD CAN NOT KILL THOSE WHO IGNORANTLY KILLS HIS NEIGHBOUR WHILE HE IS IN A CITY OF REFUGE

22ואם בפתע בלא איבה הדפו או השליך עליו כל כלי בלא צדיה׃

23או בכל אבן אשר ימות בה בלא ראות ויפל עליו וימת והוא לא אויב לו ולא מבקש רעתו׃

24ושפטו העדה בין המכה ובין גאל הדם על המשפטים האלה׃

25והצילו העדה את הרצח מיד גאל הדם והשיבו אתו העדה אל עיר מקלטו אשר נס שמה וישב בה עד מות הכהן הגדל אשר משח אתו בשמן הקדש׃

IF  REVENGER OF BLOOD FINDS THE UNINTENTIONAL MURDER OUTSIDE OF THE REFUGE CITY & KILLS HIM, HE IS HELD INNOCENT

Numbers במדבר  (Ba’Ma-DaBaR) 35:[26]

But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled; [27] And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood: [28] Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

26ואם יצא יצא הרצח את גבול עיר מקלטו אשר ינוס שמה׃

27ומצא אתו גאל הדם מחוץ לגבול עיר מקלטו ורצח גאל הדם את הרצח אין לו דם׃

28כי בעיר מקלטו ישב עד מות הכהן הגדל ואחרי מות הכהן הגדל ישוב הרצח אל ארץ אחזתו׃

MURDER IS A SERIOUS CRIME

OBEY THESE ORDINANCES THROUGHOUT YOUR GENERATIONS

So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

29והיו אלה לכם לחקת משפט לדרתיכם בכל מושבתיכם׃

31ולא תקחו כפר לנפש רצח אשר הוא רשע למות כי מות יומת׃

32ולא תקחו כפר לנוס אל עיר מקלטו לשוב לשבת בארץ עד מות הכהן׃

33ולא תחניפו את הארץ אשר אתם בה כי הדם הוא יחניף את הארץ ולארץ לא יכפר לדם אשר שפך בה כי אם בדם שפכו׃

IF SOMEONE FINDS A MURDERED MAN

Deuteronomy דברים  (DaBaR’eyM) 20:[1]

If one be found slain in the land which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him: [2] Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: [3] And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; [4] And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer’s neck there in the valley: [5] And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of יהוה (Yahuah) and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: [6] And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: [7] And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. [8] Be merciful, O יהוה (Yahuah), unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. [9] So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of יהוה (Yahuah).
