The Vanities of Human Life: Beauty, Fame, Indulgences, Riches, & Power

L.p.The Vanities of Human Life: Beauty, Fame, Indulgences, Riches, & Power

I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

King Solomon, the Son of David

King Solomon was King over Israel. He is famous for his wisdom. Before his death he wrote Ecclesiastes. He ran a life experiment on himself, which did bring him shame. You might ask yourself. With all of Solomons wisdom, why did he sin? Well, after reading Ecclesiastes you will learn how he TESTED Every thing that life had to offer. Riches, Money, Eating, Drinking, Women, Glory and Wisdom and he analyzes them and gives us his conclusion. Do not do this Test! I do not believe he was tempted to sin because of the wisdom Yah gave him. I believe he left us information to avoid sins by analyzing sin for us and giving us his report.

He gave us the book of Proverbs too and possibly other books.

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 11:9

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. 10Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 12:1

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; 2While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 2:1

I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. 2I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it?

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 1:18

For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.:

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 5:10

He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
11When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? 12The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Job איוב  A’YuB 3:17

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. 18There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. 19The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master. 20Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul; 21Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures; 22Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave? 23Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in? 24For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters. 25For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. 26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 4:7

Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun.
8There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
9Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh 9:7

Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. 8Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment. 9Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
10Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Ecclesiastes קהלת  QuaHLaTh12:13crying

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear יהוה (Yahuah), and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14For יהוה (Yahuah) shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil
