You might be wondering why the bible says Yahuah hates Esau?

Does Yahuah Hate Esau?

Malachi 1:3

And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Well… this is what this post is going to explain.

Read the full context of what Malachi wrote:

Malachi 1:1-5

1The burden of the word of Yahuah to Israel by Malachi.

2I have loved you, saith Yahuah. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith Yahuah: yet I loved Jacob, 3And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness. 4Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith Yahuah of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom Yahuah hath indignation for ever. 5And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, Yahuah will be magnified from the border of Israel.

Who is Malachi?

Malachi is a prophet whom Yahuah sent to speak to Israel. A prophet is one whom Yahuah contacts directly to deliver a message. Read about prophets here.

Who is Jacob?

Jacob is a key figure in the bible. The Bible is actually centered around him. Jacob is the son of Isaac. Isaac is the son of Abraham. Abraham was called “A friend of Yahuah”. As his friend, he had a special relationship with the Almighty Yahuah and in doing so, he received a promise from him that his chosen seed would inherit the earth and that Yahuah would be with them and protect them as long as they kept his covenant. Isaac was Abraham’s 2nd born. He was chosen. Jacob was Isaac’s 2nd born, he was also chosen. Jacob’s name changed to Yeshar’Al because he fought an angel and got a Baruk (blessing in translation).

Who is Esau?

Esau was the firstborn of Isaac and as such, he was supposed to according to birthright, receive the promise of Abraham. Isaac his father actually wanted to give Esau the inheritance and promise, but that was not his destiny. If you want more of a back store read the below article.

Jacob & Esau

Jacob & Esau – the Faith of Two Brothers – Genesis in Prophesies

Okay, so you see there is some drama in the relationship between Jacbo & Esau. They did not always get along, but why was Esau hated when to be honest, it seems like Esau was dealt an evil deck of cards. It seems like Esau had an unfair disadvantage. It does seem like Esau was set up to be an underdog, but that is not how his story really plays out. He will not get any sympathy in the end. Jacob is in fact the “underdog”. He will get all the mercy, sympathy, and love of the people. Esau was set up by Yahuah. Let Yahuah’s will be done.

If you made such an observation then you are actually correct. Esau was set up to fail. He was created to get an unfair deal. He is the villain in this scenario as you will soon see, but he was set up to be such.

Yahuah Created Esau to be the Wicked & for the Day of Evil

Yes, you read it right. Yahuah made Esau and as such, he made him to be wicked.

Proverbs 24:19-20

19Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;

20For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

Proverbs 16:4

Yahuah hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

In contrast,

The Righteous were made to show Yahuah’s Glory

Isaiah 43

21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Yahuah knows our past as well as our future

He created you and I know, therefore he knows what lies in our hearts because he put us together. That being said… He knows Esau’s end.

Because Esau is wicked as hell, he will not live long on this earth. His seed will be no more

Esau’s Future is Bleak

The promise Isaac gave to Esau was scraps left over,

Even though the promise Isaac gave to Esau were scraps left over, he was able to use his Baruk’s (blessings) and control the whole earth. As prophesied he broke from his bondage. see the link above for more details.

Read Obadiah, a whole chapter or book dedicated to tell you Esau’s end

Obadiah

1The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith Yahuah Alaheym concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from Yahuah, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.

2Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

3The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

4Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith Yahuah.

5If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?

6How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!

7All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.

8Shall I not in that day, saith Yahuah, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

9And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

10For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

11In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

12But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

13Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

14Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

Sorry, but not sorry, there is no Hope for Esau

Job 21:30

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

Revenge for the Ancestors

How are you an Israelite and you want to forgive the treacheries of Esau? Do you not remember what he has done? Was it not recorded in the Bible?

Psalms 137:

1By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

2We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

3For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

4How shall we sing Yahuah’S song in a strange land?

5If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

6If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

7Remember, O Yahuah, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

8O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

9Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
