Servants or Employee’s
Servants or Employees
PAY THEM THE SAME DAY
This was the norm back in the day, however, if an employer and employee agree to getting paid once a week or every 2 weeks, then this law doesn’t apply. You can make any agreement that doesn’t hurt anyone if you want. That being said, if you are an employer and your employee agrees to getting paid every Friday, you better be sure that this agreement is kept or else, you would be in sin.
Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
[14] Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
[15] At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto יהוה (Yahuah), and it be sin unto thee.
IF A MAN ASSAULTS HIS SERVANT / SLAVE & HE/SHE DOESN’T DIE…
Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 21:
[20] And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
[21] Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
Exodus שמות (ShuMuTh) 21:
[26] And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake. [27] And if he smite out his manservant’s tooth, or his maidservant’s tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth’s sake.
