Vegetarians in the Bible; Past & Possibly the Future

Vegetarians in the Bible

Past & Possible Future

ok this is a FACT…

YAHUAH’S ORIGINAL PLAN WAS FOR US TO EAT FROM TREES, HERBS, AND SEEDS- NOT ANIMAL FLESH

as it is written,

Genesis 1:27-30

27 So Alaheym created man in his own image, in the image of Alaheym created he him; male and female created he them. 28And Alaheym blessed them, and Alaheym said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29And Alaheym said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

  • When Adam was created, he was suppose to live forever, but his life was reduced to 1,000 years because of sin.  The original diet was indeed vegetarian, but during that time, man’s body was eternal.
  • Abel was a shepherd and he sacrificed an animal to Yahuah. We can assume Abel and his family ate lamb too.  It’s not illegal to eat lamb. Clean animals were used for food and clothes after sin entered into man.
  • This article is about the past and future being of a vegetarian diet. I am not biased. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and now I currently, eat a vegetarian diet as well as fish and some dairy.  I personally fell sick from eating only a vegetarian diet. If you honestly research the vegetarian diet, you would also find those peoples who fell sick from the diet as I did and most do.  If that wasn’t the case, vegans and vegetarians would not push supplements as much as they do.
  • It is a very dangerous diet for children and for those trying to have a child.  Children who don’t eat animal develop weak bones and after a certain point there is no recovering from not eating meat when a child is developing into an adult. A vegetarian diet is less dangerous for adults, but after some time, you will become tired more often and deficient.  Eat balanced.
  • Research alkalosis, a condition of eating too much alkaline foods. You can get more sick from being alkalosis than acidosis.
  • The scriptures are clear, the past and future seem to be of a vegetarian diet, but the present does not look like it should be.  This post for honestly in scriptures. I don’t condone eating only vegetables, but the truth his we were meant to eat only vegetables, but mankind has grown accustomed to eating animals so much so, our bodies need it. Your feelings don’t dictate the truth, whether you strongly believe in the vegetarian diet or not.

MAN SINNED AND יהוה (Yahuah) SACRIFICED THE FIRST ANIMAL TO COVER MAN’S SINS, THE FIG LEAVES COULD NOT HIDE MAN’S NAKEDNESS

Genesis 3 :21

Unto Adam also and to his wife did יהוה (Yahuah) Alaheym make coats of skins, and clothed them.:

DANIEL WAS A FAMOUS VEGETARIAN IN THE BIBLE. READ HIS STORY, ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE HEALTHIER HE WAS THAN OTHERS WHO ATE MEAT!

This verse is speaking about how Yahuah will be disgusted with the sacrifices of the Israelites because they were wicked. There sacrifices would be as killing a dog or a pig = unclean.  This verse isn’t saying sacrificing a clean animal is bad, but that during the time of sin, it is not acceptable.  The Israelites could not sacrifice any animal for sin, the had to suffer the consequences of Deut. 28.  NO man or Animal could pay for the multitude of sins.

Isaiah 66:3

He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations

Hosea 6:6

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of יהוה (Yahuah) more than burnt offerings.

יהוה (Yahuah) DOESN’T EAT FLESH NOR DOES HE GIVE HIS ANGELS FLESH FOR FOOD, ISN’T THAT OUR EXAMPLE?

Psalms 50:13

Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

יהוה (Yahuah) WAS DISINTERESTED IN ANIMAL SACRIFICE, BECAUSE OF THE GREAT SIN THAT THE ISRALEITES COMMITTED

Isaiah 1:11

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith יהוה (Yahuah): I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats

FUTURE PROPHESY…

Hosea 2:18

And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

This verse is a verse speaking about peace and how even the wild animals will not kill.  It will be a different world.

Isaiah 65:25

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith יהוה (Yahuah).

  1. A vegan is a person that does not eat anything from animals including eggs, cheese, milk, honey, even figs because wasp can be absorbed by them. A vegetarian(which I am) still partakes in things such as milk, eggs, cheese, honey. As long as its not an animal that you are eating. So my question since I am confused are we to be vegans or vegetarians?

  2. At least be vegetarian. Do your best. Its healthier to be Vegan, but not all of us can. It can be hard. My children still eat fish & they probably eat chicken & beef on the weekends at their father's house.

The animals don't have a covenant of safety yet, but we can still prepare for the Kingdom & live the way Yah intended the best we possibly can. Yah allowed certain animal consumption. Its not a sin if you really lust for animal flesh or milk, eggs etc… I am a vegetarian, but I know its best to be vegan. I am with you.
