Fields and Lands

Fields and Lands

Exodus 22:
[5] If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
[6] If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

Exodus 23:
[10] And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
[11] But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

Exodus 34:
[26] The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.

Leviticus 18:
[24] Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
[25] And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
[26] Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
[27] (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
[28] That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

Leviticus 19:
[9] And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.
[10] And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.

19] Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

[23] And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
[24] But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise יהוה (Yahuah) withal.
[25] And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.

Leviticus 23:
[22] And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am Yahuwah your Alaheym.

Leviticus 25:
[1] And יהוה (Yahuah) spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto יהוה (Yahuah).
[3] Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
[4] But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for יהוה (Yahuah): thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
[5] That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
[6] And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
[7] And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
[8] And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
[9] Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
[10] And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
[11] A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
[12] For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
[13] In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
[14] And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
[15] According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
[16] According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
[17] Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy Alaheym: for I am יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.
[18] Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
[19] And the land shall yield her fruit, and he shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
[20] And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
[21] Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
[22] And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
[23] The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
[24] And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
[25] If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
[26] And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
[27] Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
[28] But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
[29] And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
[30] And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
[31] But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
[32] Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
[33] And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
[34] But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

Numbers 35:
[32] And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
[33] So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
[34] Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I יהוה (Yahuah) dwell among the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 12:
Possesing Land [1] These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which יהוה (Yahuah) Alaheym of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
[2] Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
[3] And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
[4] Ye shall not do so unto יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym.
[5] But unto the place which יהוה (Yahuah) your Alaheym shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

Deuteronomy 19:
[1] When יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym hath cut off the nations, whose land יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
[2] Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to possess it.
[3] Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.
[4] And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
[5] As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:
[6] Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.
[7] Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.
[8] And if יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;
[9] If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
[10] That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

[11] But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
[12] Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
[13] Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

[14] Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee to possess it.

Deuteronomy 22:
[9] Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
[10] Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

Deuteronomy 23:
[24] When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
[25] When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.

Deuteronomy 24:
[19] When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
[20] When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
[21] When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
[22] And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

Deuteronomy 26:
[1] And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
[2] That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym shall choose to place his name there.
[3] And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, that I am come unto the country which יהוה (Yahuah) sware unto our fathers for to give us.
[4] And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym.
[5] And thou shalt speak and say before יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
[6] And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
[7] And when we cried unto יהוה (Yahuah) Alaheym of our fathers, יהוה (Yahuah) heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
[8] And יהוה (Yahuah) brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:
[9] And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
[10] And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, and worship before יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym:
[11] And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

[12] When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;
[13] Then thou shalt say before יהוה (Yahuah) thy Alaheym, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
[14] I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of יהוה (Yahuah) my Alaheym, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
[15] Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

Deuteronomy 27:
[17] Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
